Candidates are channeled through the Home Council to which they apply. The respective Council will substantiate their soundness in the faith on all the fundamental truths as stated in the GMS Doctrinal Statement. Should their views on any doctrine or procedure differ or subsequently change, they are expected to inform the Mission.
Candidates should "count the cost" and be prepared to live lives of privation, toil, loneliness, danger and to be despised at home and abroad.
Candidates learn to trust God to meet their need in sickness as well as in health. As faithful servants, they will find in Christ and in His Word a fullness, a sweetness, a joy and a strength that will far outweigh all that they have sacrificed for Him.
Applications for service are channeled through Mission leaders who will arrange dates for an orientation program. Final acceptance is by the respective Home Council.
