Founded in 1923 by William M. Strong, Sr. as a means of evangelizing the military in Chile, Gospel Mission of South America continues to evangelize the people of Latin America by means of itinerant and localized work, with the goal of establishing and developing indigenous churches. The results have been greater than anticipated; the strong national church, dedicated pastors and capable leadership are an indication of God's blessing. Bible Institutes, Bible correspondence courses, and camps support GMSA's objective.
