The Bragado Church (Argentina) has outgrown their meeting space in Colby & Lesa Holmes‘ house.
The Holmes moved to Bragado in 2018 with the goal of establishing a church. After weathering the many challenges of getting established in a new city, making contact with people, and navigating the COVID-19 pandemic, they held their first meeting in their home on December 6, 2020.
Meanwhile, in the neighboring city of 9 de Julio, a group of believers contacted the Holmes. They had recently left the Pentecostal church and were hungry for sound teaching from God’s Word. Colby and Lesa began traveling to 9 de Julio to meet with this group on Sunday mornings, and then they would return to Bragado to meet on Sunday evenings.
Over the last few years, the Lord has brought growth to the works in both cities as people are being saved, baptized and discipled. In September of 2024, James and Donelle Morrell returned to Argentina after an extended furlough and began assisting the Holmes.
Yesterday, the church in Bragado held their first meeting in a rented event center—a testament to God’s goodness and faithfulness! Here is a glimpse, caught on camera by James Morrell.
