Sharon Bisbee – Church Planting in Northern Chile

Hi! My name is Sharon Bisbee and I have been in Chile since August of 1985. I originally thought I would be in Chile for one year, but God changed my plans. I have been with Gospel Mission of South America since 1989 working in church planting ministries.

I worked in Santiago until March of 2014 working in different ministries in La Granja and Ñuñoa in women’s ministries, children’s ministries, discipleship, visitation, and team ministry with detained police officers.

At the end of March of 2014 I was asked to help in a ministry in the far north of Chile under a Chilean pastor and his wife. When I went to visit Alto Hospicio, I was convinced that it was where God wanted me to work and I have been there ever since. I am in charge of the children’s Bible Club which meets on Friday evenings. I also help with Sunday School and the women’s ministries. I also have been involved with weekly discipleship classes and visitation of the children’s homes.
