Lois Kenney – Retired from Ministry in Chile, Argentina, and U.S. Headquarters

Lois Kenney graduated from Bible College and later applied to serve short term in Chile in 1978. During her year there she visited the ministries in Argentina and Uruguay. Before returning to the U.S. Lois applied to serve full-time in Chile. After candidate school in 1979 she began deputation and later attended language school. Lois arrived in Chile in 1983 and teamed up with veteran missionary Lois McAllister. Their ministry together as a team would last Lois’ entire career on the field.

For 16 years they served together in church planting ministries in Tobalaba, Ramon Cruz, and Maipú (all in or near Santiago, Chile). In the fall of 1999 Lois and Loida crossed the Andes Mountains and joined a church planting team in Chivilcoy, Argentina with the Gibbons where she served until February of 2019. After an extended furlough Lois came to work in the U.S. Office with the intention of being here until her retirement in February of 2022. While here at headquarters she has served as receptionist, worked on projects, and helped with hospitality.

In November of 2020 Mr. Ken Perry, widowed and father of GMSA missionary Mark Perry, visited Florida to get acquainted with the work of our U.S. Office. As it turned he ended up gettng acquainted with Lois and the rest is history.

As a Mission family we congratulate Lois on her upcoming March 27th. nuptials and thank her for 42 years of faithful ministry with the GMSA in Chile and Argentina.
