Homegoing of Pastor Robert Martin

We just received news that Pastor Robert Martin went home to the Lord last Friday and that the service was Monday morning November 16 at the Ballycraken Baptist Church in Bangor. Pastor Martin was Chairman of our GMSA Council in the U.K. for many years, greatly loved and respected by all. His gentle Christ-like spirit was a challenge to us all. He was a humble servant of his Lord.

Pastor Martin is seated in the above picture in 2014 in a retirement home north of Belfast. He is pictured with Gordon (right) and Margaret Wells (left) and Carol Thompson (center).

Pastor Martin was missionary Sadie Minnis’ pastor in Belfast, Northern Ireland for many years. The late missionary George Black often mentioned Pastor Martin for his sound doctrine and practice. Please remember his family in prayer, and join us in thanking the Lord for His dear servant who faithfully held forth the Word of God and encouraged the Lord’s servants as they witnessed for Christ in Chile (Sadie Minnis, Dorothy Foster, Pauline English and others).

Hebrews 10:24 “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works.”
