Morrell Moments July 2018

“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Lam 3:22,23 The LORD’S mercies and compassions are new every morning. What a blessing it is to see the hand of the Lord work and enjoy His faithfulness! We have been praying for the Lord’s provision so that we can complete the second cabin complex especially for the winter youth camp. God has answered our prayer in providing the funds and labor to complete two of the six cabins in the complex and they are presently in use! Please pray that God will continue to provide for the completion of the remaining 4 cabins for our first Marriage Conference at the end of September.

“The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.” Lam. 3:24 You will notice in the Kid’s Corner that we enjoyed the visit of dear friends from our home church as well as family members. It was a great encouragement for us to be able to have these times of encouragement from back home! While they were here we were also able to accomplish some much needed tasks both at camp and our home. We are thankful that Jared Powell at just 16 years of age has chosen to give some of his summer break to co-labor with us. Please pray that God would guide Jared as he seeks the Lord’s will for his life. We are thankful that the Lord sent friends and family to nourish our souls!

“The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.” Lam. 3:25 We were greatly encouraged to have received a team from Great Britain the first week of June. While they were here it was cold rainy and muddy, but they pressed on without complaint. The goal was to complete a retaining wall around the pool and stucco the walls on the second cabin. After more than a 24 hour journey they jumped right in with shovels to dig trenches after being here only a half an hour! Needless to say they finished wall and got the majority of the stucco work done as well! It was a great pleasure for us to fellowship with and work alongside fellow believers “on the other side of the pond!” Please pray that God would continue to provide the funds and labor to complete the pool project before our family camp the second week of January 2019.
