With an average of 10 inches of rainfall every year, the greater Santiago area receives 1/3 of the rain that Detroit gets; and 1/4 of the U.S. national average. So, a good irrigation system is in order to keep the field in good health.
Missionary Dan Vallette reports: The work is in the final stages. Seed has been planted and the irrigation system is working. There are some minor adjustments yet to make, but things are progressing nicely.
Upcoming ministries at the camp include a gathering of believers in the local churches surrounding Santiago, a number of between 250 and 300 people. Then, there is the pastors conference in October with about 80 in attendance. Then there is a youth leadership conference with an expected attendance of around 120.
