Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
After a lengthy argument drawing the Roman readers towards the concept of justification by faith, Paul writes the above statement. One of the beautiful conclusions to this justification is, peace with God. Many people struggle, as others have, with the question of how a person can be right with a Holy God. This is a great question and it is simply answered by Paul – justification by faith in Jesus Christ. That is the beginning and end of the question regarding peace with God. Such a simple profound truth and one we are privileged to share.
Dear Partners in Ministry,
Greetings from Argentina. Spring has sprung! The weather is getting consistently warmer, the flowers are blooming, and the trees are leafing out – and of course there are the allergies! We have been very blessed with the mild weather in Buenos Aires. Winters are never too cold and the summer’s hottest periods do not last a long time in most cases.
The second semester of 2022 hits the mid-point this week. Classes are going well and continue to be taught online. This will continue for the foreseeable future. At some point we will move back into a mixed venue, but because of the changed mindset and ease of using online programs, this change will take place in stages. This semester we have our first international class – actually one of our missionaries from Uruguay is teaching a class for us. That seems to going well and we may try to do this again in the coming semesters. This will help us to expand our teacher base and provide more classes in the future.
Our plans for furlough are coming together nicely. We have purchased our tickets and will be arriving in the States at the end of November, Lord willing. We are scheduled to be in all our supporting churches and also some others that have given us an opportunity to share our ministry. We still have a few dates in May and June that we are trying to fill.
Praise the Lord, we are well. We have been blessed with good health and safety as we go about our lives. Patti and Mike have been able to see the dentist and we all recently had eye exams. No visits to the hospital, thank the Lord. We have a good roof over our heads and food in the cupboard. Inflation in Argentina is one of the highest in the world (the prices for many goods having doubled this year!) and though our support is rather low, the exchange rate is very favorable, helping us to keep up with inflation. God has been very good to us and He has used you to support us in material as well as spiritual needs. We thank the Lord for YOU regularly.
Your fellow-servants in Argentina,
Dave, Patti and Michael

New students for the Bible Institute.
A generation of young people to respond to the needs of full-time ministry in Argentina.
Plans and schedule for our furlough starting in December.
Our continuing progress in the Argentine Spanish language.
Permanent residency status for James Morrell, our field director.
Dave and Michael spent a day at the young people’s retreat in July. There, Dave was able to present the ministry of the Bible Institute. Please pray that God would work in the hearts of some of these young people to burden them for full-time ministry.
Patti continues to enjoy teaching the 6-9 year olds with the help of Michael. The top left picture was on Father’s Day and they are holding up their gifts for their fathers or grandfathers. In the top right picture, the children are putting the plagues in order. In August, Día del Niño was celebrated, Children’s Day, and the lesson was on children in the Bible.
Michael took Patti out to celebrate her “milestone” birthday. How fun to be able to enjoy “high tea” here in our area. As you can see, dental appointments were had during these couple of months.
