Dear Faithful Prayer and Financial Supporters,
The city of Antofagasta’s current population is estimated to be just under 400,000 people. The projected population in 20 years will surpass 550,000 people. Currently, the city has around 110,000 housing units (home and apartments). There is an extreme shortage of housing units and/or apartments to keep up with the exploding population growth. The newspaper mentioned that other day that there is a need for at least 50,000 new housing units to meet the needs of the growing city.
The photo above was taken yesterday in lower Coviefi (our neighborhood). There are several 21 story apartment buildings going up in and near Coviefi. During my morning walks I follow the construction progress and ask the Lord to help us meet the new families and individuals who are moving and will move into our neighborhood.
Please continue to pray for the Antofagasta church plant. Pray for an additional church planting missionary couple or family to join us in Antofagasta.
