Thompson Tidings

Missionaries Daryl and Earlynne Thompson write in their 2015 update:

2015 finds us busy in the Bible Institute again in Temuco. There are five students living in the dorms this year. Daryl taught the book of Isaiah and the General Epistles this past semester. Earlynne continues to help out in the kitchen two days a week as well as buy the food supplies for the dorm students. It has been good to see our former students return as new ones coming. A number of students live off campus.

We are now helping in two country churches. The church in Radal is about a half hour´s drive for us. Pray for wisdom as Daryl prepares his lessons on the book of 1 and 2 Peter. The church has a number of young couples who have requested studies that would help them to strengthen their faith. Two Sundays out of the month, we travel to Mallohue about an hour or so from our house. This group is without a full time pastor. One young lady is teaching the younger children. She was in Earlynne´s Sunday School class last year. It is good to see young people growing and taking on responsibility.

We used much of our summer helping out in the construction of a new parsonage for the Mallohue church. A year ago, our son-in-law felt called to leave Coyhaique to become full time pastor in the Mallohue Country work. We are thankful for three donors who have helped the work out financially in order to put up the house. We are setting December 15th as a goal for the family to be able to move in. Do pray for strength, wisdom and weather in order to accomplish this with our people.
