Mariano and Becky Proto write:
Dear Friends, We are happy to be greeting you from Brimfield, Massachusetts. We arrived home Tuesday (Feb. 24th). We left 90 degree sunshine in Uruguay to negative temperatures and snow here in New England.
We would like to thank you for your prayers concerning our trip home. Praise the Lord we arrived home safe and sound with no complications except some head colds due to the change of weather. In this letter, we want to highlight some of the blessing from Fray Bentos and what is next for us in these months ahead, while we visit with you along the way.
The month of February was a month filled with mixed emotions. We have had the difficulty of saying good-bye to so many friends and brothers and sisters in Christ that God allowed us to meet in these past 4 years. Many tears were in our eyes as many memories ran through our hearts and minds, but also tears of rejoicing for what the Lord has done.
We rejoice that Christian and Maria Cardozo (a national couple) will be taking our position at the church in Fray Bentos. As we shared before, please pray for them as they partner with Missionary Duarte and continue to help in the church in Fray Bentos. While we are on furlough the Cardozo family will be living in our house (that we rent in Fray Bentos ) and taking care of our belongings until we get back and move to the next assignment.
Please pray for:
- Re-adjustment to life in US (language, culture, etc)
- Our hearts to be resting on God and refilled with His Word.
- To be an encouragement to you folks.
- For Becky and Enzo as they continue home schooling.
- For the Lord’s provision.
- Safety in travels.
