When the honeymoon weeks are over, reality sets in.
We appreciate your prayers so much for our family as we continue to make Paysandú our home. We are thankful for how the Lord has sustained us through the many people who have helped us find grocery stores, parts places, pharmacies, bread, and meat stores, and the many other essential stores to supply our needs. So many items have different names than in Chile which has caused a few puzzled looks and a few laughs as well.
The kids are adjusting well. They miss their home in Chile but have made friends at church. We are all eagerly anticipating the shipment of our belongings from Chile.
This month we took a trip three hours away to Carmelo. Mariano and Becky Proto, along with Bobby and Nadia Vallette are planting a church in this beautiful town along the Uruguay River. What a joy it was for us to fellowship with our GMSA co-workers and see what God is doing firsthand! When Sergio and Andrea Duarte arrived from Montevideo, our Uruguay missionary team was complete. We held a field meeting on Friday. Then later that day, we enjoyed an Asado (meat BBQ) altogether.
Saturday, the men had meetings with delegates and pastors from the fellowship of churches. Sunday, we attended church in Carmelo, and then in the afternoon, we traveled an hour to Colonia. Danny preached for the Sunday school hour. We are thankful for the time of fellowship and the encouragement we received during our time in Carmelo.

Micah continues to enjoy a good semester of studies at Appalachian Bible College. He has quite a few camp classes and some Bible classes. We are thankful to see how the Lord is working in his life and how he is putting what he is learning into practice. We do pray that once the soccer season is over, he can find a job to help with his schooling costs. The Lord is faithful to provide for his every need. Continue to pray that he would honor the Lord in his studies, on the soccer field, and in his relationship with others, especially his girlfriend Courtney.

Please pray for:
- our visa process. We turned in our passports for them to get the appropriate stamps for the visas. We would need these to travel back to the States for our annual GMSA missions conference at the end of December.
- our belongings in Chile. They have moved from the south of Chile to Santiago this month. Soon, we should have the needed paperwork in order for them to cross the Andes mountains and make it through Argentina to Uruguay. God’s timing is always best!
- our kids– as they join the youth group and get involved and make friends. Pray for their hearts to turn to the Lord for strength and grace.
- our involvement with the Paysandu Church. Our desire is to serve our brethren and use our gifts to edify the body of believers.
- the camp pool filtration project – the camp pool is a necessity come summer when our temperatures reach 105 degrees Farenheit. We are praying the Lord would provide for a filtration system. Please pray with us for this need to be met.
Our hearts are full knowing that God works through the prayers of His people. He is pleased when by faith we entrust Him with our cares and concerns. Thank you for your ministry through prayer and giving, we praise God for it.
